Dove’s Introduction

            My name is Darrel Lavar Love.  I was born in the city of Gary, Indiana and I’ve lived here most of my miserable life.  I’ve been unhappy and tormented as long as I can remember, although for a brief period of time as a young child I thought I would grow up to be someone great.  I remember having dreams and visions of a promising future and life.  In glimpses I saw myself speaking before crowds of people with the intent to help them.  My mother even nicknamed me Dove because she said they represented purity, love and even light.  I think she missed the mark on that one because my life has been filled with darkness.  
        
            Late at night I could hear whispers in my bedroom and could see glowing red eyes.  They spoke with me so much their voices have become my thoughts...
